No invoice from seller.

I recently bought a couple of items from one seller. The seller offered combined shipping in his auctions, so I requested total when I was done shopping. After a couple of requests I got an invoice for one of the items I bought along with 5GBP shipping(auction stated 3,95GBP shipping for the first item+1,75 GBP shipping for each addidtional item). I wrote back through my ebay and asked for an invoice for both items, but so far I haven't heard anything from the seller. It's not possible to edit the invoice prior to paying either. So what do I do now? Wait for the seller to slam me with a non paying bidder alert?|||How long has it been? It is the weekend, perhaps they're out of town? Be patient.|||Sellers can now file the UID(Unpaid item dispute) in 4 days after the auction ends. Ebay's message system is not 100% reliable. If I were you, I would pull the seller's contact info and give them a call. Use this Link Often the seller's are NOT getting buyer's messages requests for a corrected invoice.|||Click the word LINK in the above post to pull the seller's contact info(phone number)|||The auctions ended the 23. I got the invoice with errors on the 26. Yes, perhaps they are out of town. It's certainly possible with the Easter holidays approaching. I will try to contact them again if I haven't heard from them by tomorrow evening. I'm in Norway and the seller is in the US, so a phone call is just not worth it. Perhaps if it had been a high dollar item, but not for something that cost 5,50GBP. Thanks for the suggestion though.|||If the seller is in the US, why it it priced in GBP?|||I have no idea. Perhaps it's because I shopped through Ebay UK? Anyway, the seller has now sent me a new invoice. Everything is correct when I view the mail, but when I get to paypal after hitting the pay now link, 3GBP is suddenly added to the shipping quote. I don't know if it's the Ebay system that's messed up, or what it is, but as it stands now it will actually be cheaper for me to pay for each item separately.|||Is there a way to pay for the items separately using the full shipping quoted in the auction? Every time I go through my ebay I encounter inflated shipping amount.|||Looking over it, what I think happened is that the first invoice contained the combined shipping I'm really supposed to pay, but the seller left out one of the items I bought. When the seller then sent me an adjusted invoice he/she forgot to adjust the shipping accordingly, so the shipping for the item that was left out was added on top of the shipping from the previous invoice.|||Last week I bought two items from one seller. One was an auction and the other from the seller's store. When I tried to request an invoice I could not get the two items to display together either on PayPal or eBay so I contacted the seller to let her know. My seller told me that eBay wouldn't let her combine store and non-store items. She put the total of the combined shipping on one item and no shipping on the other. Did you check both items to see if that is what might have happened?

Need insight on an auction

I recently bid and won an auction that the seller had no feedback. I then received a second chance offer from the seller on another item of his that I bid on. The seller now is no longer registered on ebay and I have a bad feeling about paying him for the auctions. What would you do in this situation. I don't want to pay him and then no receive the items. I can't even access the auction page to review the item. HELP!!|||I'll leave someone else tell you what to do. But for me i wouldn't have bid on these auctions. First this is the last place i will buy jewelry unless I need something just for a schoolplay or halloween prop. Second i don't buy from foreign countries especially jewelry, electronics and cell phones. There is enough good ol USA sellers here you can support. Third their only transaction I saw was a nuetral already so they are starting out shaky already.|||If the seller is no longer registered, the transaction is gone like it never existed. You are no longer obligated to complete the transaction.|||Since the seller is no longer registered, you are no longer obligated to pay for the items.friends Director,|||Ebay suspended the seller and took down all their recent auctions. You are NOT obligated and should NOT pay for the auctions or second chance offer, when the seller is NARU= no longer a registered user. There is nothing more you need to do on the matter, except delete any and all further or future communication from the seller.

Unbelievable seller, failed to ship, but won't refund???

After won and paid, seller doesn't like to ship, claimed 'item out of stock', sent me cancel request, but he did NOT refund. I asked him either to send or to refund me, but he did NOT. Waited and wasted 7 days, I had to clode the cancel request. I denied his request to cancel the transaction. I really think there's a communication gap between us. I have cleared stated REFUND first and I will agree to cancel, but the seller won't. What's actually wrong why he did not refund and want to cancel the transaction?|||File and "Item not Received" right now (Paypal or Ebay) and get your money back. Seller should always refund first before anything else if they don't have the item unless by clicking the purchase button you agreed to wait for stock.|||" I had to clode the cancel request. I denied his request to cancel the transaction. " Your seller is required to refund immediatley when "out of stock on an item" as per the Seller Practices Policy.Link Seller should NOT be requesting to cancel the trnasaction, so he can get his Ebay seller fees back , before refunding you. File a INR ( Item Not Received) with Paypal now and get your refund! Don't forget to leave a factual Neg for the seller as follows: Item out of stock, seller uncooperative re: refund Poor transaction.|||More important even than feedback are the Detailed Seller Ratings. Remember that ONE is the lowest rating and has a strong impact on the seller's ability to list and the visibility of his listings. No rating is a Free Pass. While you cannot comment on his speedy shipping or shipping fees, you can comment on his As Described (since it was not available) and on Communication (which has been poor).

I want to bid but the seller didn't include my country in Shipping list

Hello all, I want to bid on an item, the bidding will end in a short period of time. The question is, the seller states " Will ship to Worldwide. Contact the seller for additional shipping costs and services. " But i don't see Turkey in the shipping list. Btw i tried to contact seller two times via ebay messages but he didn't reply. Should i bid on this item because it's really reasonable and exactly what i need. Hoping to get quick responses. Regards, Sinan.|||Sellers have the ability to block specific countries from the list of those they ship to. Turkey may be one of them. If you do not see Turkey on the list of countries the seller will ship to, then you should not bid (you may not be able to even if you try.)|||If you do not receive a reply from the seller regarding shipping to your country, I would NOT bid. I would take the NON reply as the answer to your question about shipping.,p> It is not a good idea to bid without first confirming /obtaining a firm quote for S&H to your country. It is also possible, the item is NOT allowed to be shipped to certain countries.|||Also OP, don't take it personally if the seller doesn't ship to Turkey. It has nothing to do with you as a buyer, and it's the seller's choice where to ship. Have you done a general Search on eBay for the item? There is usually more than one of any given thing being offered for sale here|||Sinan..., Questions should be asked before the last day of an auction. Sometimes, ebay's message service is slow to deliver.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I did not sell you my opinion

What would you do?

Recently I had a dispute with a seller. He sold me a stamp and it was incorrectly identified and was damaged. I got absolutely no response from the seller about returning it, any apologies for the damaged stamp, etc. I returned the stamp to the seller and still no response so I finally had to file a Paypal dispute. Finally after nearly two weeks, he refunded my money. Needless to say I will not be buying from that seller again, or so I thought. I purchased another stamp yesterday and it turns out it is the same seller using a different name. Obviously I have misgivings about the transaction now due to the negative experience with this seller. Any suggestions here? Can I ask to cancel the transaction? Should I pay and keep my fingers crossed that he will send it? Any advice would be helpful.|||You can retract your bid if the auction is still running. I think you have to do it in a certain time frame before the auction ends though. Otherwise try a mutual cancelation.================================================== Yes I do sell on ebay, this is my buying ID.|||I would let it play out. Maybe the seller will make good and send out a perfectly good stamp. Wait and see|||You are obligated to pay for your bid on the latest auction. One transaction has nothing to do with the other, as far as Ebay is concerned, unless the other first seller user ID is NARU (not a registered user). Pay for the item and depending on what happens, act accordingly.|||You can request a Mutual Cancellation, which the seller is probably willing to give you since you have been involved in an earlier dispute. An MC ends a transaction with no fallout for either party, but it must be started by the seller. Ask politely but do not be afraid to refer to your earlier unhappy transaction. If he goes for it, respond promptly and agree. You will then both be free of the transaction In a handshake business like philately, trust, once lost, is hard to regain. If this were a DVD my advice might be different.|||||||||"I would go as far as to say that if you do neg them again, the seller may file a Unwelcomed Bidder against you and win. " Seller obviously did not block the OP on their "other user ID" and the OP had no idea, they were the same seller until post auction, so the "unwelcome bidder report " will not fly.|||

issues with a seller and their items they sent

I recently received a package of books that I had purchased from a seller here on Ebay. The lot was for five books, all but one listed in "Like New" condition. On the seller's page, he/she did not mention anything about combining shipping, so I sent a message before I went through with the payment on PayPal. The seller completely IGNORED my attempt at asking about shipping to send me an invoice, which angered me and I sent a not-so-happy reply about how rude it was. After a few messages sent back and forth, we finally settled the matter and he/she sent my items. Well I just received the package today, and I am very upset. I paid 20.00 in shipping for priority mail (each book was claimed to be 4.00 to ship individually), while the seller paid 5.13 for media mail all in one package, which is an over-payment of 14.87. Now onto the items I purchased. First item is the book Shadowland, by Alyson Noel. This was listed in "Like New" Condition. It is far from that. Pages 117 all the way to 202 are detached from the book, and there is sticky goo all over the cover. The Summoning, by Kelley Armstrong. Again, listed "Like New" the cover is torn in many places, the pages are bent, some warped from what looks like water damage, there are scratches on about 20% of the cover as well as staining from what looks like coffee by the main title on the front cover. City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare. This one was the only one listed in "Acceptable" condition, tho I am not sure why. There was nothing wrong with this book other than the remains of a sticker on the front cover and a bent back cover, which I think happened in-transit to my house. The two remaining books I purchased (City of Bones and Masquerade) were in almost perfect condition other than normal reading wear on the spine of the book, and some very slightly bent pages from being sent. I sent the seller a message, though I'm thinking they are either going to ignore it again, or just refuse to cooperate. My question is, if you pay for shipping priority, and the seller ships media mail, does Ebay enforce refunds for this? And also, if the seller sends items not as described, can I get a full refund on the item?|||My question is, if you pay for shipping priority, and the seller ships media mail, does Ebay enforce refunds for this? NO And also, if the seller sends items not as described, can I get a full refund on the item? YES But you will have to pay for the return shipping. Be sure to get Delivery Confirmation on the packageDelivery Confirmation is confirmation of delivery, not tracking.|||||||||" On the seller's page, he/she did not mention anything about combining shipping, so I sent a message before I went through with the payment on PayPal. " Listing did not state combined shipping, ther fore seller is not obligated to combine shipping. ALL questions, including combine S&H must be asked, clarified and negotiated PRIOR to bidding , not after. If the items are not as described, then contact the seller. You will be required to return with delivery confirmation on your dime , in order to get item price and the original S&H refunded. S&H is not just actual postage paid.|||Since you have already dinged the dsr stars and left neutral and a neg for two of the books, don't expect the seller to bend over backwards for you at this point. If the item was not as described, feedback is the last step, not the first when you want something resolved. Good luck FYI Just so you know for the future, when you bid you are agreeing to the TOS (terms of sale) in the listing. That means you agree to the S&H stated in the auction. Asking for combined S&H post auction and "being upset because seller ignored you" is ridiculous. NO invoice was necessary as S&H was clearly stated in each auction and combined S&H was not offered or part of the TOS. Buyer can't change the TOS post auction. In the same token,Seller should have shipped Priority Mail as stated in the auction.|||I also responded on your other thread on the Checkout Board. I won't repeat here. Consider the No reply, your answer and move on to an other seller/auction. If that was not the issue, then way mention it? Contact the seller, if they do not reply or refuse to accept the return for the damaged items( you will need to return all the items) then file the SNAD with Ebay OR Paypal.|||I agree with salez, you would have been better off to try and resolve this first, as I and others suggested..... the seller now has no reason to try to help you now their feedback, and their business, is pretty much ruined. It is very important that buyers give a seller the opportunity to put things right before scoring a seller. IMO feedback should never be left in anger. You did a good thing in coming to the Boards for advice, but then you didn't wait to hear what folk had to say. You may now also find yourself unable to bid on some listings, as sellers think you look like a problem buyer.~ Lucy ~ Guide to eBay Board AcronymsClick on for links to Help Pages for a new eBayer|||which is an over-payment of 14.87 lol, you paid what was in listing , so no "over payment". if the books aren't as described , return them after filing the item not as described.|||"first of all, that isn't even the issue with what is going on. secondly, I sent the inquiry before the auction had even ended. thirdly, the seller agreed to do combined shipping, and did not do so. i suggest if you're going to respond to someone's post, you actually might want to reply to what the issue was, not something that has nothing to do with the problem" You gave every indication with this ststement the inquiery regarding combined S&H was post auction Your words " On the seller's page, he/she did not mention anything about combining shipping, so I sent a message before I went through with the payment on PayPal. eBay buyer resolution center vs. Paypal res. center...which is better?

I recently bought an item which I strongly believe to be a fake piece of Tiffany jewelry. I have contacted the seller who does not seem to be willing to work with me, so it appears that I am going to have to file a claim. As I have no experience with this, I was wondering if I would have better luck filing directly with eBay or Paypal, as that is how I paid for the item. Also, does anyone know what will be required to prove the item is not authentic? Can I take to a Tiffany store or is there somewhere online that eBay and/or Paypal will accept as proof? Thanks in advance for the help!|||How do you know it's a fake?|||The good news is the seller doesn't have a dozen of these. And, Tiffany has one of the best VERO programs on Ebay and diligently search for listings for fake Tiffany. I found this site of a Chinese replica company that sells this design in the bracelet, but they do not have the necklace listed. You should try Googling Fake Tiffany infinity necklace and see if anything pops. Good Luck...at this point, I think it could go either way. Becky|||Why would you contact the seller based on what you "think". You need to prove it's a fake.|||Walk into any Tiffany's store and show it to a salesperson. I agree with the other posters. If you only suspect it is a fake, without knowing for sure, you should concentrate on that first before filing a claim and leaving feedback for the seller. Or, you could simply return the item for a full refund if you aren't happy with it. Either way, accusing someone of selling a fake, without knowing for sure, is not a fair practice. If it is a fake, absolutely go for it! If it's real, please consider reacting appropriately to a seller of genuine Tiffany jewelry as they are becoming more and more scarce here on eBay!|||nenner, Definitely take it to a Tiffany store before leaving feedback. Before bidding on this type item ask questions of the seller, and satisfy yourself of its authenticity before bidding. Never bid on an item just because it is close to ending, and the price looks good. It is a recipe for disaster.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I did not sell you my opinion|||All complaints are filed thru eBay first now.....Link But first, you need to authenticate the piece in question.******************************************|||If you do take the piece into a Tiffany store, DO NOT say you bought it on Ebay or they will auto say it is fake , even if it is not. Ebay and Tiffany, have quite a "history" (Google) regarding counterfeit Tiffany items on Ebay. I do know, Tiffany stores will not provide the required "proof of counterfeit" in writing. I also know and have heard of many cases recently, where Tiffany has "confiscated" the counterfeit Tiffany item on the spot. If this happens, do get some kind of receipt for the item confiscated from Tiffany. I would contact your seller first and discuss the matter. Be prepared to provide proof and Why you think the item is counterfeit to the seller and more importantly to Ebay OR Paypal.|||"I have contacted the seller who does not seem to be willing to work with me, so it appears that I am going to have to file a claim. Seems to have listed a few Tiffany items (all different) as well as other gold pieces, as if liquidating personal items for some cash. The time to research the piece/ item for authenticity is Prior to bidding. What if anything are you (buyer ) basing the " I think this is fake" on?
