I am having a problem with the on-screen volume controls. Whenever I attempt to adjust the volume through the on-screen volume slider, it slides back to its original position. This occurs when playing songs as well as videos. the volume buttons on the side of the unit still adjust the volume, but the display does not change to indicate the change in volume.
Rebooting the ipod by holding down the home and hold buttons does temporarily alleviate this problem until i put the ipod in sleep mode, but as soon as i use it again the problem is back. There is not a volume limit set on the ipod to prevent volume adjustments.
